RIVERBEND PLAYERS 2025 SEASON
Performances at the NCRD Performing Arts Center 36155 9th St. Nehalem, OR 97131
MARCH:
AGATHA CHRISTIE'S THE MOUSETRAP
A classic murder mystery occurs in Monkswell Manor, a guesthouse where a snowstorm traps a group of strangers. As news arrives of a murder nearby, the guests realize that the killer might be among them. Detective Sergeant Trotter arrives to investigate, but as tensions rise and secrets are uncovered, another murder occurs. The play is famous for its surprise twist ending, and audiences are traditionally asked to keep the plot's resolution a secret. The Mousetrap holds the record as the longest-running play in the world.
JUNE:
SORDID LIVES by Del Shores
In a small Texas town, a Southern family comes together after the matriarch’s accidental death. With eccentric characters, including a drag queen brother and a mother in denial, Sordid Lives explores the humorous and poignant ways people cope with love, loss, and family dysfunction.
LATE SEPTEMBER:
THE INVISIBLE MAN: A LIVE RADIO PLAY
by H.G. Wells and adapted by Michael Gene Sullivan
In this inventive adaptation of H.G. Wells's sci-fi classic, a small cast brings the terrifying tale of an invisible scientist to life through a live radio broadcast. With clever sound effects and voice acting, the play recreates the thrilling story of a man who becomes invisible and descends into madness.
DECEMBER:
THE HOLIDAY CHANNEL CHRISTMAS MOVIE WONDERTHON
by Don Zolidis
This parody play hilariously spoofs the formulaic and heartwarming Christmas TV movies (Hallmark, Lifetime, etc.). Multiple holiday-themed romance plots unfold as quirky characters meet in a cozy inn, all set against a backdrop of festive chaos. It's a rapid-fire, comedic take on holiday movie clichés with a tongue-in-cheek twist.
Tickets for the 2025 Season are on sale now, including, for the first time, the Riverbend Players Season Pass.
